This Modbus enabled room temperature sensor can communicate with a supervisory control system on an RS485 network using the Modbus-RTU protocol. The sensor also outputs an analog 0-10V signal equivalent to the current temperature, which allows the sensor to be read with a simple analog input and/or allows the sensor to be used as a tranducer to directly control an actuator or valve based on temperature. The temperature can be read from the built-in temperature element or from any of our thermistor style sensors which can be connected as external elements to the unit. This means that you can use the MBus_RT to Modbus Enable any of our thermistor sensors or act as a 0-10V transducer for any of our thermistor sensors. This sensor's 0-10V output can be read by the following DataNab I/O modules: - Ai32: 32 Analog Input Module - AiO8: 8 Analog Input/Output Module - Ai8-R13: 8 Analog Input / 13 Relay Output Module When used with the BarioNet I/O Gateway solution, you can pass data from up to 8 of the above I/O modules to a higher level control system via HTTP, TCP, or ModbusTCP. When used with the BarioNet Monitoring Application, you can expose the temperature data from up to 32 of the MBus_RT sensors to a user or higher level control system via HTTP, TCP, or ModbusTCP.
